Guitar is unlike any instrument I’d played when I picked it up and once I’d spent a little time with it I finally understood why they seemed to be everywhere.

The fits and starts in the beginning can be a challenge, but the rewards for making the climb are worth the investment. Over the years I've found that there's a certain path with many branches that pays real dues for anyone learning the instrument.

Whether you want to play wailing leads or accompany yourself singing, there's a style of guitar playing that suites you. We start simply learning about the instrument, follow that up with a few chords, and are soon branching out in every direction using the songs you want to play as the path to making a better guitar player.

Tate

Tate is 12 years old and began taking guitar lessons from Joe over 4 years ago.  Joe has done a wonderful job of helping Tate develop his ability to play while always making it interesting and fun.  He does this by connecting to the type of music and skills Tate is drawn to and teaching him the through these.  Tate always enjoys playing guitar and also just generally likes Joe.  I think that says so much about how Joe teaches, engages and connects with his students.
